What if you knew your fate?

If witches were truly real and actually had foreshadowing abilities, what would it be like to be able to ask to see your future? In Macbeth, there are three witches that do just so with Macbeth and Banquo. They got their attention with prophecies which were that Macbeth was going to be king and Banquo's sons will become descendants of the throne. This causing Macbeth and Lady Macbeth to go on a killing heist to further grow in their ruling, with also having Banquo sent to be killed along with his son. This obviously affected their actions by knowing what would come in the future, I couldn't imagine what I would do if I were told how I would die. Would you even be able to avoid it?
